Welcome to the club from a fellow former MKiii owner.

How did the 7M-GTE like 500hp? Not a lot I'm thinking ;)

In all honestly it detted a lot but never let me down. Used the old link g2 engine management and did a great job. I dud not have it all that long at that power as I sold it. actually owned it 7 years and bought as a non runner. They are actually tough. Guys in the states run crazy power now on the old 7mgte.

Cool, I think the only real problem with that engine was that they didn't torque the head bolts tight enough resulting in head gasket failure (mine went at about 100,000 miles)

I suppose if they were tightened up it would be a different story; I actually suspect that we have the 7M to thank for the 2JZ being so strong as they would have wanted to make up for it being problematic.

Loved my old MKiii, it was my 1st car.

Deffo agree there, the gaskets were poor to. I do miss it, was totally mint. Now it's time to buy my dream one, hopefully early next year.
