cainhead Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) bought an hks FCD ages ago and when fitted I was getting fuel cut when the second turbo came in. Due to time constraints I reconnected the normal ecu. Now I have all the bpu parts fitted and working with the car in ttc I thought I would look into getting the FCD working properly so I could raise the boost to 1.2 ish. I've checked and re checked the wiring and I'm still getting cut when the boost goes over 0.8. Also the car cuts out completely and I gave to restart it. Any ideas. I do see a lot of faulty ones though, and, in my opinion, even when they work as designed, that design is badly flawed to the detriment of how the engine is fuelled. The unit is wired as per the MKIV.COM installation guide and I also crossed checked with a couple of guides on here. It must be getting power as it changes something in the ECU in order to make it cut at 0.8. I have tried to earth it to the chassis just to see if that makes a difference.
