bhp on stock internals

Just bought my tt 6speed and wondering what bhp can I safely achieve I plan on upgrading fmic injectors fuel pump exhaust ect ect I want to no what bhp I can achieve before I start changing pictons and new turbo

Maybe throw in a ecu and some cams but normally people go bpu 1st

I'd also be going over the suspension and brakes before upping the power but most don't seem to bother,

handling and stopping are more import in my book.

If its in good shape then you can have more than enough for a very fast road car, 600 + easily on a good

stock engine with the correct supporting mods

A good single on stock internals will cost around 15k minimum, a good street turbo I would rate is the T04z.

Before you change the turbo you'll get around 400hp. If you go to the right dyno you could probably squeeze around 450 though.

As above if you have money to spend go single, you can not beat the nice power output plus sound compared to BPU stock twins.

Speak to the tuner you plan to use, and go with management that they're familiar with.

You cannot fit bigger injectors, without management to control them.

You'll probably make up to circa 400bhp on a stock ecu, at bpu levels - any more will require changing the turbo/s, management, fuelling, etc etc

A factory engine should handle up to circa 700bhp, but that will largely depend on the health of yours.

As said, you'd get 380 - 450 depening on the health of your engine and how ar you go. You'd need an exhaust (cat back and at least one decat pipe), fmic, fuel pump and a boost controller to hit around 400 and a fuel control is advisable (piggy back ecu to keep the cost down at this stage or full standalone if you're flush ). Most wouldn't bother with injectors at this stage though and if yours is a UK spec they're 550 anyway so no need until you go single unless you're future proofing; just don't go too big! Jspec 440's will be maxed though at this power so if you plan on fitting cams (which are needed if you're aiming for closer to the 450 mark) make sure you have the 550s at least to make the most out of things. You'll need a UK ignitor pack to run them if you currently have 440's. Both can usually be found fairly cheap round here.
