Good evening all.

My name's Alan and I was recommended the forum by a friend who's a regular on here. I've lurked a fair bit and had some help with a few bits and bobs already, so thanks! I'm not a Supra owner, however I own a JZZ30 Soarer and noticed there's a few 1jz nuts on here so figure it's not a bad place to be! Also own a FD rx7 which I am slowly turning into a bit of a track tool.

Anyway. I'm never any good at these first posts so i'll leave you all with a photo of the Soarer!

Many Thanks

Alan. :)

Thanks very much yeah she's a clean one. Should be taking me to the south of France (and possibly over to Barcelona) this August and have a couple of issues need sorting out before then. But ultimately I would like to BPU, UK spec Supra TT brakes front and rear (which seem to be a lot rarer than I expected), prettier wheels (that clear said calipers) and a decent suspension set up. I have my eye on the HSD mono pro's for a comfortable but positive road set up without breaking the bank. I've had a go of an S13 Silvia with them fitted and was impressed. Wondered if anyone on here had any thoughts on them?

Thanks again.

Alan.

Its rare to see a TT in Jewish racing gold, normally you see the UZs in that colour. Looks clean :)

Hey alan, good to see you finally sign up,

is that the correct colour name? either way i like it and will now call it that rather than old man bronze :p

I'll bring my supra down and we can try a wheel off yours on mine and see how close they are to uk calipers on wednesday if you want?

Haha you've started him off now :( !

Cheers for the warm welcome everyone. I'll post up some photos of the Rex build later on. Nearly finished the engine block now. Large street port with the housings been machined back 0.002" to remove any imperfections to the combustion surface, same is being done to the end and centre irons.

Gonna keep standard twins but up the boost and water/methanol inject. Will be surprised if it doesn't make close to 400whp. Should keep a fair bit of low end grunt too!

But that's an on going thing really and hasn't been touched in a little while (hopefully start to make a move with it soon)

Rx7s - the only car you own for 2 years before you can drive it in anger!

Oh and to the chap that asked me where I'm from, Redcar, just up from Whitby.

Thanks.

Alan

Photos of RX as promised. Could only find these two of the car fully complete.

Thanks Scott. I'll sort it out when I get to my PC

Oh my god. I'm in love! The sound of a 20b motor is the best sound in the world! Did you import it yourself? Any more photos?

That's a good looking Red fd you got sir....very nice!

Thanks. It looks way better in the photos. Although I reckon in its current state it will clean up a fair bit but it does definitely need paintwork touching up for it to look nice. I'll probably get the buffer on it and see how it goes as it's not gonna be a show queen. The Soarer is the clean lady and the RX7 is the dirty girl!
