The worst bit of washing the car at this time of year is cold water or should I say cold hands.

Yes, I use a hose to pre-soak the car first then use warm-cool water in the bucket to wash the car so, hands are OK but, when you come to rinsing the chamois during the dry down, I have always used the hose to rinse out the Chamois between drying each panel.

Penny dropped today, that if you fill a bucket with clean warm water to rinse the Chamois then your hands don't get cold :D

One happy chappy

I don't like having stone cold hands for ~40mins while I wipe the car down :(

Also, after using the hose to rinse the car after washing.

Throw a couple of buckets of tepid water over the car, you'll be left with less water on the car than just using the hose alone.

Much less water to chamois off! ;)

I turn the hose to a slower single spray and then bead the water off so, there is less water to Chamois off :D
