Hi Guys,

Ive got my 2JZGE head that i'm planning on fully building in the next couple of months. Is there anyone that has completely deleted the Dissy? Can anyone chime in on what is needed for this. Id assume you would have to weld in some sort of CPS to run off a standalone ECU.

Thanks for the info Dave P! With this setup I understand you still need to run GE cams. Has anyone completely deleted it and run off welded cam sensor on the GE head?

See here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?groupid=62

If that is not good enough, you can weld a pair of T.T. cam sensor mounts onto the head, or fit a T.T. head.

Someone in the US ran over 800hp on stock cams. It's more hassle than it's worth. Just get to 600 and worry about it later. Run a 7mgte CPS if you really want to remove the dizzy.

There are other things to worry yourself with up to that point definitely.

Use the 2JZ-GTE oil pump and the crank trigger wheel and crank position sensor off the GTE as well, all plug `' play. Then make a cam position sensor reading from a pulley wheel. All straightforward stuff.

And there we have it. Question answered. When I go for a full bottom end rebuild this is definitely the way I'm heading.

Just a quick question. With regards to using the TT oil pump without oil squirter's on the GE. I understand the TT pump flows more oil to accommodate the squirter's? Ive read up that this is an issue on blowing the front seal out. People are using the facelift N/A oil pumps with crank sensors (OBDII) to correct this issue. Is this true?
