Ls400 brakes

No.

The calipers are a similar size to the UK's, but are aluminium so they are significantly lighter. The pistons are the same size as the UK spec calipers. The LS400 discs are smaller than the UK's, aren't directionally vented as per the UK's, and are heavier. The weight increase of the disk mitigates any weight saving on the calipers (as the discs are rotating mass)

In summary they are a decent, cost effective upgrade over the J-specs, but aren't in the same league as UK's.

The main issue with the LS400 upgrade is that it will increase the front brake bias when using j-spec rear brakes, and the UK rears aren't suitable with LS400 fronts IMO.
