MOT advisory question

Last year my supra got an advisory for wear on the inside of the front right tyre. Still easily legal, but it hasn't been changed and MOT is due this month.

It's only covered 1500 miles this period, and the tyre is still legal.

Will there be any comebacks for the same advisory twice?

I don't know how it's over there, but here if they are nice enough to tell you that a part is starting to get worn and that you should consider replacing it instead of giving you a fault that requires immediate replacing to get the car to pass inspection. I would def not risk going to the MOT without having that fixed.... This is in Norway though.

Ive had items marked as an advisory one year, and then not even noted as an advisory a year later

It's either legal or not. You could run something marginal and worthy of only an advisory for years so long as it didn't deteriorate into the fail category.

This.

If it isn't illegal then they can't do you for it. If they marked down low tread but you only drove the car 300 miles in one year then they can't fail you for still having low tread but not enough to warrant replacement, if that makes sense.

Is it due to an alignment setting that your tyre is wearing on the inside?

It is mate yes. I'm moving house next month so I can't get it sorted until then. It's been off the road for 3 months over winter and before that the gearbox went, so never really had the need to get it done desperately. It will be sorted before the summer though ;)
