Well, ICE here in NZ is dam cheap - and i mean cheap,
you can get a decent double sub, enclosed in a lovelly carpetted perspex box with a neon music-matched light for 400 bucks (150quid!),
so i'm planning out my install but i have a major problem.

the fronts,

the doors are so thin i cant cut the card and fit anything decent inside them,
the dash has 1 space for a speaker on the passanger side, about 6 inches where the stock speaker goes.

thats it (bear in mind its an '86 year, so its major square dash, cheap as chips, no frills). it has the ability for double DIN.

so.....
should i just forget about the front totally? (would i get crap sound / balance?)
just tweeter it?
or try and get some front setup in there?
rear wise whats available is ....the boot, parcel shelf, no rear doors - so next to the rear seats in the side panels (there is no existing speakers / setup thier either)

does anyone know of a head unit (or something DIN sized) that would allow me to "download" mp3's off my laptop - hard drive type storage as well as CD player and tuner?

Mine pre-dates that one!, its an EP71 Turbo S (nothing electric apart from aircon and window wipers - and you certainly know when they are on!!!! what a racket) , i'll take some interior pics - that will make you realise my dilema!

pods... err.. door builds? you make boxes that fit into/onto/blend with door cards and house the speakers in them :)
