Currently driving a 1997 tt my girlfriend and I bought from Miami to Seattle. The Speedometer quit working, no cruise control, won't shift into overdrive, the odometer added 20,000 miles in one day, it won't go faster than 105 m.p.h and we are really frustrated. The seller hid alot of problems or masked them from us so if anybody has had any of these issues and knows what we need to fix, your advice would be greatly appreciated. We paid 21,000 cash for a car that was supposed to be perfect. :(

Sounds like you have a speed sensor issue, the milage going up I have no idea? The 105mph could be that its never been delimited, wow you guys pay a premium in the USA :O is it a usdm spec or jspec btw?

It's a jspec. It's also a wide body kit with awesome $10,000 wheels. It has very low milage and is a beautiful car.. just has some issies. Thanks for your advice. We ordered a new sensor, turbo controler. It's also starting to whistle really loud when turbos are spooling. (Sounds like a leak or a high pressure squeal)

Welcome to the forum, sorry you've bought a dodgy motor. Pretty sure that's not a "wide body kit" either looks like it's got a veilside... Yuck! Also if those wheels are 10,000 dollars someone got ripped off. I think you might be in for a world of issues by the sound of things. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice from the more knowledgeable on the forum. Seeing as you're in the states supra forums would be more location appropriate for you and you might get local help that way.

Hope you get it sorted though and good luck!

It would suggest there's a speed sensor issue, plus is it my imagination, or are the wheels different diameters, front and rear? If they are the ABS (and good taste) will not be happy. I would think the immediate issues are something quite simple as they all seem speed sensor related. The turbo noise is perhaps more troubling...

Epic story?...... Not exactly War and Peace, is it? ;)
