nitron shocks

Hi all, just looking for some real world opinions of nitrons on supra's, namely the R1 versions. What do people think of their performance and comfort on the street?

I have enquired and been told spring rates would be roughly 14.3kg (800ish ft/lbs) and 8.5kg (475 Ft/lbs), which is just slightly stiffer than the tein flex i currently have. So any one help?

Cheers.

The dampers are excellent value for money, but those spring rates are far *FAR* too stiff for road usage. order them with something much softer. No need for the Eibach spring option, the Faulkener springs that are a lot cheaper are just fine. For a mid range damper they are a nice unit if you need on car height and damper adjustability. if you don't the German built Bilstein Sports are as good at £130 plus VAT each, brand new.

You will get MUCH better traction, especially on less than perfect road surfaces, and much better "feel" if you go a lot softer. Japan has historically gone for insane rates, probably because of the drifting culture, when making aftermarket spring / damper kits. If you find the roll is too much with softer springs tame it with stiffer anti roll bars. People say they want adjustable ride height, but once set these things corrode up solid after a few months, making adjustment impossible anyway. I have just spent many hours freeing off some similar dampers to raise the ride height. Not fun! Bilsteins can be machined with multiple spring seat platform stop grooves to enable off car height adjustment.
