Run for the border - Offical thread

Following on from the chat and interest thread, im wanting to get the ball rolling and keep this thread specifically for the event itself. I will use this thread for the CONFIRMED names on the list and also the details of routes, costs and etc.

 

Dates - Thursday 16th July - Sunday 19th July

 

So far here is the list of confirmed names

 

1) supraleeturbo

2) wattwatt +1

3) grasmt

4) Crock

5) Al Massey +1

6) Drift_bear +1

7) Benjy +1

8) Fitz

9) Tony TT

10) Heedthebaw

11) supra_ufo

12) Westcoaster

13) Slam

14) Karen

15) Eddie-S +1

 

 

And so far the route is looking like this

 

Day 1 - Thursday

 

Everyone meeting at the one point and staying the night before setting off in the morning.

 

Day 2 - Friday (takes in loch lomond and plenty of picture spots and great roads (105 miles)

 

Starting point - Loch Tay highland lodges

 

  • Balloch
  • Lunch stop on the banks of Loch Lomond
  • Callander

 

Finish point - Loch Tay highland lodges

 

Day 3 Saturday Lodges - Edinburgh (143 miles)

 

Starting point - Loch Tay highland lodges

 

  • Tullibardine Distillery (Stop for lunch and a break)
  • Edinburgh (takes in the forth road bridge and some good picture opportunities)

 

Finish point - Hotel local to the show ground

 

Day 4 Sunday Scottish car show

 

Royal highland centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh

Alex, you ave me on the list,also you have a karen on the list. Is the my darling wife or another karen ? If it my darling wife , can you put her beside my name,as ....ooooo my darling wife is sat beside me and has just said...."which car are we taking, mine or yours....[emoji27] so I gave in [emoji12] so can you put my name next to karen's who's forum name is kar .... she has now promised me some more s.. [emoji106]

I'm hopefully still in, only ever got to drive my van in Scotland before so fancy some proper driving - I won't be able to get up until Friday evening at the earliest and waiting for confirmation from the GF as well as sorting the dog out! I won't be able to confirm until a bit nearer the time
