I'm having a head scratching moment, basically I bought a nearly new whifbitz aux tensioner pulley off a tt6 to fix what I believed to be a failed bearing noise?

(The second vid I didn't realise I was recording but you can clearly hear the noise go when I spray wd40 onto the tensioner unit)

But after replacing it although it got quieter the screeching as well as the clicking is still there, it gets louder the higher the rpm but does almost go once warm . Could it be the tensioner arm at fault? Iv searched but can't find any examples of it failing?

Also what's throwing me is weather I should be using the 2 large washers with the whifbitz pulley..?
