I'm getting mine done next month. A place in Leeds does it for £500 with a two year warrenty. They have hundreds of colours to choose from aswell

Please tell me it's not liquidwrapz, or used to be liquidwrapz.

They change their name that often, in fact nearly all in Leeds and Bradford do.

And please please please do not pay £500 to get it done!!!!!

I'm in York, give me a shout I'll come meet you and I'll let you use my kit

It doesn't matter what state the paint is in, I can plastidip the concrete and get a better finish then them.

And I certainly wouldn't mix flakes in with the normal colours, needs to go down as a base.

Trust me, I plastidip cars and vans, I wouldn't use them.

£500 for their cheap products and lazy masking.

For £500, I could plastidip several cars.

And they delete bad reviews on facebook too

no no no no no no no

Im a vinyl wrapper and i have had alot of people come into me with plasti dipped cars and i felt so sorry for them

its a rubber coating its made for tools not cars , if not mixed correctly and spot on it WILL eat through your paint

plus it looks horrible and the texture isnt great , i mean i can walk upto a dipped car and just pick it straight off in large peices its applied correctly with the correct amount of coats, then again if its applied incorrectly and not enuff coats then small bits will fall off and break apart then when you wish to remove it well then enjoy a week of picking it of in small peices

thats my opinion sorry if anyone doesnt like it ! and im yet to see a plasti dipped car thats lasted 6 months and looks good

maybe the product can be good or made better but there is to many people out there giving it a bad name plus cheap knock of vinyl wrappers are now giving wrapping bad names in places

I stick to vinyl wrapping as its more secure and colours are better with a good gloss and will also protect your paint . Vinyl wrap will have a chance of pulling of your paint tho if the vehicle / panel has had a spray job ,

and no little scum bag can pick of the wrap as its always tucked round the panels they wouldnt try because they would most proberly think its painted

I can't believe even the bad rep of liquidwrapz, uniquiquskinz & now Skinz Autimotive has made it through to the forum's, at least they're consistent :(

Just wanted to add to this as can see it's a few months old now.

Dipping has come on leaps and bounds in both quality and finish & with the introduction of colour flip/ chameleon, high gloss, metallic & petrol resistant coatings there really isn't any need for vinyl wrap at all these days (unless you're wanting graphics)

The only issue the normal/ DIY users may encounter is in the UK, is that it's illegal for average joe public to use the really good sprayable plastidip. (due to tighter regulation on the thinners)

Public can buy plastidip ready to spray buts it's very runny & you need to wait a long time between coats, you also need more coats.

However, Reputable Plasti Dip specialists are able to use the USA Plasti Dip which you can apply very thick, short dry times and you only need about 6 coats to get a very peelable amount on there.

The finish can be as smooth as real paint too if you've enough skill to run it through a conventional spray gun rather than the one's matt-pack etc sell.

For the record to support the thinners regulation, matt-pack now sell "EU Plasti Dip" to everyone Or "USA Plasti Dip" to those who set up a trade account.

If you're in the industry, that fact alone with us, is enough to gain you the trade status needed to buy the USA paint.

So if you're near Leeds & you'd like to try some out, we're always happy to give half a litre out for people in the trade to test.

Check out our FB page for pic's etc
