Sukhy
There seems to be a patch of cloudy lacquer and white spots on my half carbon TRD spoiler. What is the best way to remove the lacquer from the spoiler without damaging the carbon fibre skin ready for the lacquer to be re-applied? I've searched to find that the use of 'wet and dry' may do the job. Is this correct? Anyone have any suggestions?
Ric
Probably best to let a professional carbon repairer at it, i expect it will be sanded, but not too far, there might be other methods. When my car was painted they removed as much of the old clearcoat as possible from the spoiler and painted it with UV stable clear, hopefully it lasts a bit longer
Sukhy
I managed to find this video after doing a quick search on youtube: - Yes I will get a professional to do it but wanted to find out what the best process is to remove the lacquer safely. Dnk
I wet flatted my TRD rep carbon blade to remove the cloudy lacquer, was actually pretty easy to do.
