SVA test certificate

I got my car last week from what I would call a suburban car sales yard, in the middle of a load of old houses. Anyway, it had an MOT and my insurance company confirmed its registration. Now the bolt on fog light was busted, no worries there, but there was no evidence of the requirements to pass the SVA test.

It was manu’d in 2/94 check yours here http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm and brought into the country by its owner in 11/04 making just over 10 years old.

Worried about it being legal, I search for the rules and found this http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/dft_roads/documents/pdf/dft_roads_pdf_506867.pdf seems that it only needs an MOT to be registered, I quote;

2.1 All cars and light goods manufactured more than 10 years before registration in Great Britain.

Any car or light goods vehicle 10 years old or more may be imported regardless of its origins or whether you have previously lived in the country of export. The vehicle must pass a standard "MoT" roadworthiness test before it can be licensed and registered.

So panic over, however, I will be fitting a TSD+DSC this weekend.
