Kendo11
Yes it's true, my carpet is dyeing OK seriously, what's a good price for getting my grey carpet dyed to black? I've been quoted locally by a reputable company £40 with the carpet still in place, if I remove the seats beforehand. Is this about the going rate? Herb
There's a DIY somewhere here on the forum. Personally I'd do it myself. Get the carpet out of the car and try to source the dye locally. It's a pretty straight forward job I think.
SPG
If you decide to DIY, make sure you cover everything in the vicinity with tarps/sheets, its nasty stuff and stain's as you'd imagine it would
Kendo11
Definitely don't want to do it myself to be honest
j_jza80
Good call, it's a messy job. If you do decide to, WEAR GLOVES!!!
Chris Bailey
Or you could just buy a genuine black carpet.
Kendo11
Won't be buying one, won't be doing it myself. Any feedback relating to the actual pricing?
Hitbox Junkie
Getting to the point id say its a fair price. And it isn't you getting messy too and hopefully on a plus side there professional and should know what they are doing. For DIy looking at the 5L cost of the dye from a forum post of DIY its around £20. so £20 Labour isn't too bad in my opinion that is. Graham1984
Won't be buying one, won't be doing it myself. Any feedback relating to the actual pricing? Sounds alright IMO for a crappy job. You would probably spend about £10 on dye if you did it yourself.
