So driving to Medway today and the heater water pipe that exits behind the bulkhead has split. So pissing coolant and looks like I'm not getting home. Before I give up and call recovery, is there anything that people can think of to try to seal the split, at least short term. I've tried exhaust heating tape and gaffer but still getting a leak

I used one of these to isolate my heater matrix

You'd need to order them from a plumbers merchants - Yorkshire Fittings YP20 15mm return bend. Fits inside the pipe perfectly. Then use suitable jubilee clips.

The issue isn't with the heater matrix leaking, sorry if that was unclear. The hose going out the bulkhead that goes onto the matrix has split by the bulkhead, so I can't really put a bung in very easily. Anyway, leaving the car parked up overnight and will trailer it tomorrow to get sorted.

Shit happens I guess
