Paint removal/polishing

Evening all,

Just a quick one really, I painted my throttle body and y branch last year with some decent heat resistant spray paint, but want to remove it and either polish it up to a mirror finish or go for a different note sophisticated colour.

I have some nitromors laying about at home - would that be ok to us on these? Not sure how porous the surfaces are and how susceptible they'd be to a strong chemical?

After the paint is removed, how do I then go about getting it up to a mirror finish? Is it just lots and lots of fine wet sanding or do I have to apply something else?

Cheers
