Pic's Breather setup

Anybody have a pic of a breather setup , -12 pipes run to atmosphere , vent to out behind the diff I read is the best option?

PHR / whifbitz stuff is crazy money for a little box

Where do you get the -12 AN fittings to weld onto the Cam covers?

Can't you run it into a catch can? Running one out behind the car is potentially very dangerous to other drivers, and could possibly get you into a lot of trouble.

You can actually run the lines under the car and into a Coca-Cola bottle in the boot for cheap these days. As for fittings try jegs, summitracing, demon tweaks etc

I am getting my cam covers polished so want to weld in the 12 AN fittings prior, what every members suggest , I just read run them out the back

Just not paying for some fabricators holiday based on the prices of these Aluminium units

I'd run it out the back still, if the worst was to happen and the engine blows up, them little catch cans won't hold 5 litres of oil, it's still going to spray over the engine and possibly catch fire.

I'd leave it as stock ( engine fails the oil will pump out the exhaust) or run the breather lines to the back of the car.

Fittings at earls performance or merlinmotorsports.... I have some -12 fittings and braided earls hose for sale in forsale section

In over 40 years I have yet to see an engine failure where a lot of oil exits the top breather system. Thev recent Porsche fires have been due to con rods punching holes in the engine block. Running lines to the back of the car is utterly bizarre!

I've probably got some -12 weld-ons in aluminium plus unused proper Earl's fittings too that were leftover from me doing my own setup. Drop me a pm if you want me to see what I have...you can have them for cheaper than any UK suppliers you can find
