Depends on your car and the type of cooler you are using, if you have gone fmic then you may as well make use of the side ducts and not put extra hot air through your main rad.

I have one like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flex-a-lite-4116-Translife-Transmission-Oil-Cooler-Kit-/380970447228?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item58b39bb17c in between the fmic and the rad and one similar to this:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mitsubishi-Pajero-Shogun-mk2-94-99-3-5-V6-6g74-OIL-COOLER-DENSO-024100-8112-/120952778255?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AMitsubishi&hash=item1c2958ee0f

where the old smic used to live.

What fittings ( if any ) are on the Pajero oil cooler ? and did it take much fabrication to fit ?

The one I used (as has Nas, supra-ufo I think) had small lengths of pipe already attached and pipework wise it was a doddle. When I first fitted it it was on the passenger side and fitted great, but when I went fmic I had to shift it to the driverside as there was too much going with intercooler pipework and washer bottle etc on the passenger side. I cut a small piece of angle to make a 90° bracket and then used the angled bracket on the cooler itself with nylock nuts and bolts. It wasn't such an easy fit on the driver side as it was on the passenger side tbh and took a bit more thought as to where to mount it exactly, but still easy. Will find some photos. Take a look at Naz's build thread as he has some pictures of it.

Here's one, but doesn't really show much, sorry.
