Hi owned the supra for around 6 months now always had one thing on my mind!

Boost!

So i started reading.

Had an idea in my mind of what i wanted to happen.

Then i left the country for four months with "Carbonbullet".

Clearly us talking about cars was like a 20 year olds sexual frustration when he cant pull. There was a clear eagerness to get back to the UK from the shit hole we had found ourselves in. On the positive note being there was giving me the money to fund what I'm starting. Also gave me the time to do more reading and also watch youtube videos for little tips on how to make certain bits easier for me to do.

So now I'm back fresh after some time off and ready to dig deep knowing how much skin and blood is going to be lost doing this turbo build.

The plan:

Single turbo build not looking for mega power.

Greddy TD06 25g.

Greddy turbo mani.

Greddy external waste-gate.

Trust intercooler kit.

Hks filter.

Screamer pipe.

Blitz nur spec exhaust.

TRD spoiler.

Boot lip to go inbetween the TRD spoiler.

BC coilovers

X3 Prosport guages, oil press, oil temp, boost press.

Hks oil filter.

Purple cam gears.

Hks cam belt.

1.3mm head gasket

Top secret carbon bonnet.

Clear cam cover.

Thats all i can think of for now. Also have a few more bits to buy.

Ecu.

Fuel pump.

Front bumper (undecided)

And obviously the map as well.

I will be giving bits a tidy up as a strip the engine down. Got tubes of chrome polish and i have my own air brush so hopefully can get it looking presentable.

As soon as i can get the car in somewhere the work will start.

I will make sure to keep you updated and hopefully some people will subscribe and follow my progress.

Looks like a good start buddy, you'll need a down pipe and mid pipe in that list as well along with bigger injectors. Or if you don't want to bigger injectors just yet you can take the head gasket out the list as it'll be fine at low boost

Are you sure the GReddy manifold and turbo will clear the 2JZGE distributor and intake?

Be aware Greddy and Apexi turbos are usually based on elderly Japanese market only cores and may well be irreparable if they are found to be worn, or fail in service. Just had to convert a Skyline to Garrett GT series turbos as the Apexi ones that were on it are not repairable. Very costly, lots of feed pipe changes needed. I always say *BEFORE buying a turbo kit make enquiries to ensure they can be rebuilt.

The GReddy turbo kit is designed to fit a 2JZGTE TT engine, there is a lot less space on a 2JZGE NA Supra, you may have problems with the fitment.

This has come off of a na engine.

This isnt a buy off the shelf kit its has all been bought seperatly and been sold to me as a kit.

You need a TT head if you want to run a greddy kit... they don't afaik make a single kit for the N/A Head. You could then run coil on plug, a crank sensor and do away with the dizzy though.

Exhaust ports/exhaust flange spacing is totally different.

If its greddy i asume it will be written on the manifold. As i will be looking at it later now lining it up with the manifold i have in my room

As already stated GReddy only made turbo kits for the 2JZGTE, if it is a GReddy manifold it will only fit a GTE head, if it fits a GE head then it's not a GReddy manifold.

Also how much do gte heads go for atm?

Post up some photos of the manifold showing the cylinder head flange so we can identify which engine it's designed to fit.

LOL, whats that intro all about , you should have listened to me when i said get the TT engine hey? ... would have been a lot cheaper...... your lucky i have aTT inlet complete side available, you can have it if you collect it, gonna be a lot more effort though, not even sure it will fit either...

No point me buying a tt as i would have still spent shit loads more getting it fitted then doing a dingle conversion.

Looks like an NA manifold to me. All the bolt holes to me look like na bolt holes.

Yes definitely a 2JZGE manifold and definitely not made by GReddy.

Im happy its the right one. Looks well made god knows who made it.
