Link G4+ Extreme ECU

Anybody running a Link G4+ Extreme ECU, looks like a nice bit of kit

Skyline guys seem to be praising the digital trigger solution to replace the CAS sensor

Been looking at this myself. Tried, tested and proven:)

Just fitted one to Markku Alén old GT4 Rally Car. Monster of an ECU and very, very feature packed (even if some need unlocking). Not cheap at £1300 and that doesn't include looms/connectors or a map sensor (Storm does but can't do sequential injection of ignition).

In comparison to the AEM Infinity looks like it is running a 40mhz cpu versus a 200 mhz of the AEM , I suppose the 64gb data logging of the AEM is not something to rave over , it is just Data logging capacity not a key feature, just nice to have if even if it is way over kill

But the Digital trigger of the Link looks like a huge plus for the Skyline guys

Does the Link also support direct injection or VE tuning? AEM was talking about a firmware update to release DI , not too sure if they did

1. Is VE tuning the way to go ?
   
2. If you bought one of the modern ECU's, considering the firmware updates, do you need to get re-mapped if a patch is installed?
   

Nice to get a comparison between the Syvecs , AEM Infinity , Link G4 + Extreme and a ProEFI; seem to be the brands to get or then again maybe a HKS Vcon Pro. I suppose the huge advantage with the new modern ECU's is the transition to the Canbus system
