ive seen a supra for sale with a garage from whitley bay and ive done a history and milage check and the history chevk has come back fine.

however they are saying its done 87000 miles and on the millage it says 103000 2 years ago. and then this year 675000 or aomthing which has to be wrong surly??

also could the 103000 miles on the millage check be in km still??

thanks

It's now reported that 1 in 20 cars in the UK have had mileage "corrected"(clocked essentially). This figure is significantly higher in imports, I'd put it at over 90% of imports(this would certainly be true for supras). Go in with your eyes open, the old trick of proclaiming miles are km is often sighted as well. Check engine bay, pedals, steering wheel, gear knob/selector, handbrake, dash and seats. If these are worn it's a good indicator that it's done more than its indicated mileage. Also don't base your decision on mileage, go by condition & oem parts replaced.
