I need to replace the powersteering pump on my supra as it makes a fair noise when the engine is cold before it gets up to temperature, I do have one off a mkiii turbo supra at home and im guessing they are different but just on the off chance it might be the same I thought id ask on here?

and if not then how specific are they to tt or na engines as my engine is a vvt-i twin turbo but i have found one on ebay (link below) off a non turbo so just checking this would fit before I purchase it? assuming that my mkiii doesnt fit of corse.

Have you checked your fluid colour/levels?

I had a really bad noise coming from mine, and it was driven for a long time with that as well. After a full flush, cleanout of the gauze filter at the bottom of the pump and new fluid in...its as sweet as a nut, no lightsabre noises for me!
