The best use for a Supra other than on the Road

Just wondering really.

In your opinion what is the best use for a Supra other than using it on the road.

No wrong answers just interested to see

Even though I wouldn't use my own because I treat it like a baby I would love to get a track car specifically set up for hooning around a track and have a try at drifting.

I voted Drag Racing (obviously being an expert here), they seem to be incredibly good at it.

I would like to think track day racing (seeing BigNum's video's!) but I haven't used it on a track yet.

Though you certainly have one of, if not thee best track setup Supra's... in the world!

I would love to track a supra but it would have to be a properly set up single-six speed.

Mine is very good for gathering dust, moss and various other items like twigs and leaves. ;-)

Dammit I could of said that as mine has a garage now I get so much abuse becuase I don't use it enough off my mates and the missus !!

For me the perfect use in the streets is a combo of the options, Track Day and Racing, Drifting and a little show car...

Whilst a bit big and heavy for track days their immense build quality allows even a stock car to be active on track with a good chance of being able to drive it home again, assuming you don't bin it! Simple mods allow them to work on track regularly with excellent reliability.

I feel bad if the car gets dusty after a few days use nevermind track abuse haha I just want to polish it and look at it...

Dragonball is the only reason I still have a supra, I love a road trip now, if the guys gave up doing DB I'd probably buy a Porsche or Aston.

I lack the funds to be able to drag race it or to fix it after a heavy day at the track.

I like to clean it and make it shine, i also like to tinker and add bits to it to make it look better.

Drag racing is boring, drifting seems to be almost exclusively practiced by pikeys.. for whom no bumpers and a poorly presented car is a badge of honour.

However I think one would be excellent for endurance racing. I'd love to enter the Britcar 24hr in a Supra at some point.... Maybe it's time I stopped messing around and made that happen!

Have to disagree with you there James, drag racing is not boring, its the waiting around between runs that gets boring imo.

Apart from Drag Racing, I think its also at home on long motorway drives and cruises its a great GT car.

Unless its sub 10 seconds its pretty boring really.

Circuit racing is where its at, the 24 hour at the ring would be a good home for a properly set up mkiv
