Arch Rolling (Future Value)

Hi Chaps,

I am wondering if getting my arches rolled is this going to damage my cars future value?

I am currently looking to track down some nice new wheels, but the majority require the arches to be rolled.

What do you guys reckon?

Shouldn't make much difference to resale value really, but if you're bothered about it, there are other solutions. They cost a lot more though.

Rolling isn't going to be as bad as chopping them out, IMHO.

It's hardly any different, as long as it's sealed up correctly it's not going to rust, or become any increase issue for rust than normal.

I wouldnt even worry about it tbh.

Unless your keeping it 100% stock as a collector's car then dont worry about it

As long as the job is done correctly and not a baseball bat under the arch I don't see the problem. As said above unless it is being kept 100% stock.

Should not affect price

And could even interest more people if they have different tastes in wheels and offsets.

As mentioned, only if it is a collectors car with stupidly low mileage... roll away (don't crack the paint).

Some are hardly noticeable and some have huge rolled lips that to me look awful, i

A roll should only be a roll, anything further is a flare.

If it's only the underside edge of the quarter panel getting rolled then fine but most

i've seen are way more than that and start bending the outer shape of the quarter

panel, they look bad then imo.

Call it what you will, flared or rolled i don't like it once it distorts the quarter panel

Okay so that a bit of reassurance then, I will have to try and find a decent place to do the work. I think me apprehension lies with the fact that I have never had the arches rolled on any of my vehicles.

As long as you don't roll them out of shape and deform the arch, I don't see an issue with resale down the line.

Depends on the quality of the job I guess. Some look really well done, others seem to have paint issues. I would probably prefer to have rolled arches if running super sticky tyres like R888s, as there's less surface area to attract gravel rash.

I've rolled many supras, one just recently was glenzamike's rears.

He is facelift, and got a perfect roll and I've done suprasteveo's before too.

A roll should be just tucking the lip out of the way by folding it flat.

Done right and there will be no paint issue or distortion, or anything getting behind the seal.

Yes, I just had to remove the top bolt on the outside edges of both the front liners.

Scotland sucks for this sorta thing, well if you want it done correctly.

Did you find anywhere mate? I'm looking to get mine done too. Someone mentioned chizfab but they seem to be a little hashy with their rolling.....

Funky Power can do it. They done McDades car recently
