View Full Version : Problem for Power cable
Hi,
Just wondering whether anyone can provide me the information on puting through the PowerCable from the head unit to the Battery at front.
I believe there should be a hole somewhere but I can't find it. Or actually I need to drill a hole by myself?!
With pics will be even better.
Thanks in Advance.
on the passenger side, you see this big rubber grommet pretty near the top, that has quite a few creases, just make a small slit, and poke the cable through. i can show you pics later, but not at home right now

Yep, I've used this before. You cannot miss it, near the nearside wing at the top! If you feed the cable through from the engine bay it should drop down nicely in the passenger footwell. :)

I'm using "0" guage and couldn't get mine through there :( I used the large hole just to the Drivers side top of footwell, You can't miss it its damn huge.
Just make sure you seal around it with bit of silocone (spelling?) after putting it through etc.
Best of luck.
Uh huh, I struggle for ages trying to get thru the center console area as well... pain in the ass, but at least once you have put 0 gauge in it is good for life.... regardless of how much you do (within reason)

If you go in through the big grommet on the passenger side, be very, very careful as this is your main engine wiring loom. Personally, I wouldn't go that route.
The grommet on the drivers side is OK, but only if you have an auto. Otherwise you'll find the hole full of clutch related gubbins ;)
The best cable route is to go through the inner wings. You can do this from inside the car fairly easily. Look for a large yellow grommet. Cars with airbags will have yellow harnesses travelling that way too. The grommet is easily large enough to run three lots of zero guage cable if required. (not that you would, just giving an example of its size).

Mines an auto so thats why the drivers side was easy then :D
Thanks a lot, guys.
Great helps.
