Blow off valve

Hello guys,

I had a plan to mount a blow off valve since I bought a car (which came with a car as previous owner "did not have time to mount") but was reluctant to do so because I thought there was something fishy about that excuse. However, yesterday I decided to carry on and scheduled it for installation... today.

So, I woke up full of excitement, the sunny morning promised a lovely and joyfull day of fiddeling arround with my car. But I am afraid my predictions were correct. When the valve was in place I went for a test drive and the car was not the same, as I accelerated my breakfast stayed at the same place in the stomach and did not express any interest of moving under the influence of some extra side force. As a result the ride was a bit disapointing. However, during my test drive the dump valve was making a correct whisteling sound when I take my foot of the accelerator and I met Attero on the motorway and we stopped for a chat. (Nice to meet you [=)

What is the reason of loss of power: Leaking air in dump valve pipes or valve itself? Computer is confused and being naughty? What pressure should turbos create and whats the best way to test it?

Thank you.

Nice one, no I did not. I did check the manual and it had a factory fitter blow of valve on the picture, my car does not have one and instead it is just a hose coming to both sides. Hence I thought this is something else. Thinking about it, it might be just the trick. Will do that and write the results. Thanks bud.
