Full respray

I'm getting a full respray done this month as I'm not very happy with my current paintwork with having some paint reactions/chips from previous spray job and full body kit adjustments for perfection. My brothers friend is giving me discount but I've seen his work it's very high class as he does prestige cars and done my brothers Scooby which I couldn't fault one bit everything was perfect and done professionally full

Primer to oven bake. My brother called me saying he will do it for 2k only because he knows my brother well, is that a good price? Although I'm helping him strip everything off.

It's very hard to ask on a forum about bodyshop prices as I have seen people have resprays as low as £1500 !!

At the end of the day you get what you pay for and for a full respray not inc shuts etc ..2k is a very good price if as you say there quality of work is very good IMO

You can pick up Audi R8's for less than £40k these days, when someone says prestige I am thinking Rolls Royce... don't judge on run of the mill cars ;)

On a serious note, don't look at pictures, go off work he has actually done, although his done your brothers car (which he hardly drives). See if you can find a car which has been driven for a couple of years and see how well the paint job has lived up to. It is the best way to work out if he is any good. I can make a rubbish paint shop look good behind a camera. You should know being a photographer Jazz :D

Have you tried getting it looked at from a paint specialist like Stonkin? That guy can work wonders.

Good advice and a hell of a lot cheaper if it just needs a good detail...... you could use the savings on a camera and photography lessons....... and rentokill.

Re spray prices can be so sporadic, obviously it depends on the condition of the car.

Just make sure you get the engine bay the same colour.... Nothing worse than an engine bay that is different to the car!!!!!

That I'm doing after when I get engine work done by LeeP.

What's the deal painting the engine bay, I assume the engine and loom stuff would need to come out?

Engine bay is being painted on mine aswell! I found it easier to take the engine out as it was a complete colour change. The engine loom came out with the engine but the other looms like for the fuse box and lights stayed in and was just uncliped from the body so they could mask them up and hang them on a frame to keep them out of the way. Also took out all brake lines and ABS pump

This is the best way
