The question is not is it worth that much money but more can you afford the up keep of such a car? Big power supra's are definitely not like small single ownership.

Think about it sensibly. It's sod all use for anything other than drag racing. Let's say you do 6 runs a week, and run every other week of the year. That's 26 x 6 = 156 runs a year. Each run is say 10 seconds. That's 26 minutes "racing" a year. It will need expensive maintenance, tyres, clutches, blah blah. And fuel.....and transporting. Let's say a VERY optimistic 10K Sterling in running costs if nothing goes wrong, (but it will....). Purchase price of £40K and another £10K a year to run and transport. £50K over one year is £1923 a minute's race time. OK, it has residual value, but whilst it's sat there or running for 10 seconds a time it's costing £1923 a minute's seat time to own and run.

Expensive hobby for VERY little seat time, lots of hanging about and possibly some huge bills if the engine goes pop. I would seriously doubt the BHP figure, has anything like that been on a proper, independent engine dyno? If it really had that much power and torque, and could hook up properly, gearboxes and diffs would have to be stacked up in the pits as it would break them for fun.
