Ive owned my supra now for 4 years and thought that it would be a good to get up a progress thread!

I'll give you a bit of background first, bought my Supra from a member called Mcgoo on here.

When i bought it it was a RZ twin turbo 6 speed BPU. I absolutly loved the car and used it as my daily for nearly 2 years. When fuel costs were becoming an issue for me i got myself another run around and started to take it off the road over winter. Car was running 430bhp and this was more than enough and loved the power.

4 weeks before Japfest 2013 i lost all boost, and was so upset when i couldnt find what was wrong with it. After looking through so many threads to find what it could be and checking boost pipes and solinoids it came down to the fact that my 1st turbo had failed. Pritty dramatically.

Most of the blades on the hot side had pritty much been destroyed, was planning on getting myself another set of twins and swopping. After some convincing from Mark (Pulley) we decided that going single was the way forward.

After many cuts to my hands and impossible bolts to remove, the old knackered turbos were removed:

Got a couple pics with the guys that helping me. Mark and Ant's supras, also Laurence helped.

attachment.php?attachmentid=184023&stc=1&d=1398074251

When removing few parts it came to our attention that a few extra bits of work were needed. Subframe had almost rotted through, so mark got on the phone to Keron and a new subframe turned up 2 days later, got it painted up and ready to fit.

Origionally wasnt planning on removing the head but seeing as its 20 years old i thought it would be a good time to give it another new hg and extra cleaning.

Also had new Stem oil seals fitted by Mark, we cleaned the head up again and that was ready to go back on.

Block was cleaned up ready for new head.

Had to start ordering parts now and the bit i was most excited about was the turbo. Managed to source it from Kaan a GT3582R

Thought id have a selfie with my turbo :D

Thanks guys, yeah I can't wait to get it spooling kaan!

The engine is all back together now I just need to finish off the thread. Haven't started it up yet. Will be next week the big turn on!

As said the GT35R makes for a great fast, responsive setup, the 550cc injectors are going to limit how much boost you can run though.
