View Full Version : Expander chip for a double-din?
Woo hoo, my first post in the ICE section :p
Where and for how much can you alter an imported, double din stereo to get UK radio stations. I really know this ICE lingo dont I? :limp: lol
I was chatting to a guy in Halfrauds who was certain you couldnt convert them...?
two options, one is to get a band expander, ebay has loads, duno if any good. think i remember reading that they still not that clear?? someone probably will qoute me on that
otherwise, just go buy a new headunit but you will need a iso wiring harness, halfords got em about £12, ebay has them for a fraction of the price.

The expander on mine meant you could get the stations but the display never showed the 'true' MHz setting. So you could be listening to Radio 1 on 98.8 but the display would be reading 87.6 or something. Gets a bit irritating.
Cheers guys, will check it out.
