I have a spare NA Ypipe and throttle body i have been refurbishing sat in a box and was wondering if i should get it 'ported and polished'? I see this term thrown around a fair bit, have no clue what it involves but thought if it will squeeze a few more bhp i may aswell do it price depending. ManwithSupra Posted March 18, 2014 Share Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) Porting is port matching, this makes sure the ports (say on your intake and your head) don't have any overlap between them which can cause turbulence. Polishing is also referred to as Gas flowing, this basically removes the imperfections and casting lumps etc to enable free flowing gas through the system.
