Unless you use your standard handbrake for anything other than stopping the car from rolling away then I wouldn't spend the money on these. If your handbrake isn't behaving then give it a service; clean and grease all moving parts, clean out the drums and give the pads a rub down with some sandpaper to rough them up again for bite. You'll be amazed at the difference.

 

Otherwise make sure to use your handbrake to bring the car to a stop from a low speed once a week, this will keep the surface on the drum from rusting up badly.
