Opinions Please.. Bored of the car

Ok guys.

 

When I say I'm bored I mean of the look under the bonnet. Want to do some changes.

 

Heres the engine bay currently..

I have no clue where to take it now, would like to introduce some colour, maybe a candy red. Only want small additions any ideas preferably with some photoshops.

 

Thinking maybe of smoothing the plastic spark plug covers, Painting the oem pulleys, Got a new intake not sure on colour, polish? Black? 199? What do you guys think.

I say go V8. It's a simple swap. It won't break the bank. Nor any gearboxes in a hurry. It sounds awesome, and will be a bit faster. Won't require a mental remap. And won't be the most challenging engineering project that's going to cost you a small fortune. It's a challenge to you, but not any garage with your knowledge of what parts are needed.

 

Go V8. 100%.

 

A V8 manual has much more re-sell value than an NA-t when compared to the cost of the project.

 

Credit it's not 400hp. But they it will be more reliable, cheaper and your get more of your money back than an NA-t would cost you.

Did you paint your airbox and rubber pipe going to the throttle body Jake? If so, what did you use? I'm n/a too, I had polished manifold and shiny bits in the last one but I'm going for an all black and carbon theme with the new one, I'm thinking about getting the throttle body cam covers, manifold etc powdercoated gloss black, and I have a few carbon bits (fan shroud, cooling plate etc) to go in too.

V8 manual means bellhousing adapter and custom prop though - not cheap. Might as well just go V8 auto IMO.

Absobloodyexactly what I'm thinking of doing and the reasons why.

 

V8 all the way!

 

But in the mean time, get the rattle cans out and freshen it up.
