right, it's just occured to me that all you girls and boys who fit scoops to your j-spec cars might just be sticking it on top of the bonnet.

my bonnet is knackered and I was going to get a j-spec and fit my existing scoop and anciliaries (ducting) to it.

Is this possible? Bearing in mind it will mean cutting a square out of the bonnet

I don't think it would be a great idea to just stick the scoop on top without the ducting. Don't know if this will affect the steel turbos, besides my car already has a j-spec front bumper and I don't want it to be too abnormal in case I ever try to sell it.

And what is the difference in a j-spec front bumper and Uk then ...
TBH the J-spec bonnet has the bracing for a UK scoop just not the outer skin cutout so i can't see this beeing a prob with a little trimming:thumbs:

just the headlamp washers.

I don't want to end up with a car that has all 'incorrect' bodyparts on it if you see what I mean :)

I'm just trying to work out how someone could actually cut a hole into the j-spec bonnet without making a mess or denting the area around the hole. It is aluminium remember.

OK I see what you mean TBH you can cut the washers back into a J-spec bumper (why you would want to :p ) No probs . Have a look at some of the Threads Dude has started Where he has banged the Scoop onto a J-spec and here are a few pics and a link:thumbs:
