Youngest Supra on the forum?

Was just scrolling through the auction sites and Japan and came across a 2001 RZ, so was just curious to see if anyone on here has one as young (or even a 2002 )

2002 cars have appeared on here. I think there was one for sale in Ireland recently. Not many of the late late specs have appeared though!

I thought I was doing well with a VVTi 1997 single I did look at a couple of BPU TT6 2001s but decided against it

I nearly paid £23K for a 2002 Gunmetal NA back in 2004. The car eventually sold for £16K as the dealer couldn't shift it.

Is it the 2001/2002 cars that are in the silly tax bracket?

2002 cars are in very limited supply, and nice ones tend to cost big money.

Noticed a lovely, very low mileage Bayside Blue R34 GTR on that auction site though

Were there only around 300 made in the last year of production. May have been less than that.

It was at a certain point (month eludes my memory) in 2001 that had the higher tax bracket.

I'd be willing to bet that is a contributing factor to Westy having a 2000 rather than a 2002

The most anyone will ever pay for road tax on a supra is £280(this year, up from £270 last year). Even then, this will only apply to cars registered after the first of March 2001. The top two tax brackets only apply to cars registered after the 23rd of March 2006. Seems to be a believed myth on here that some of the last cars were in the £490 tax bracket.

£280 I could live with. £490 is a joke.

I know of a couple of cars that are in the higher bracket but these were DVLA cock ups.

I had a Mazda 3 MPS for a while and the absolute worst thing with the car was standing at the post office having to pay the road tax, £460 for a 260hp hatchback!

I had a x5 4.8is - that was £490 .... Cried each year...

To tax my NA Supra would've cost me €1,494 per year.

To tax it now with the 1JZ transplant in it would cost me €1,080 per year.

I bought a trailer to tow it with my Navara, which costs me €330 per year.

As stated one of mine is a 2000 model.

I work on an s2000 withc has the £490 tax disc

I've owned a 2000 model before and currently own one now. spg has my old one. Although they are pretty rare to find. Not seen a 2001 or 2002 model yet
