Coolant question

Look carefully at your expansion tank (plastic one) there will be a max and a min level. Keep it just under the max. Also if there is about a cm in there keep an eye on it as you may have a coolant leak. The cap on the rad is for filling after changing the radiator.

Cheers topped up the expansion tank. Will keep an eye on it. Looks like I have an original radiator so it being 18years old it might need replacing

My stock radiator split after 18 years. It had been in the UK all its life though, unlike Jspecs (if that's what you have).

Yh jspec. How much is a new rad if I need one? And best place to get it?

"If" You need a rad get a genuine toyota one. Are you NA or TT? Manual or auto? TT ones are thicker than NA and auto cars have a built in gearbox cooler in the rad. TT rad was £330ish when I checked about 6 months ago. As already mentioned check the basics first. Rad cap etc. Oh is you passenger footwell wet?
