Hi All,

The 2014 TSS dates have been announced for those interested.

For those who don't know, Sprinting is like a hillclimb on the flat- Standing start, point A to point B, timed. The costs are similar to a track day, but time in the driving seat is traded for the experience of competing in a sport. IE you will get less time out on the tarmac as you would on a track day, but you'll be able to judge how effective your mods / setup adjustments are, see how good (or bad in my case!) driver you are, against cars and drivers of a similar potential within the different classes.

The basic idea of the sport is to get as perfect run in as you can during the day- the usual format (venue / conditions dependant) we have is 2x sighting laps, 2x practice (untimed) runs then the clocks are switched on and you get up to 8x timed runs for the competition.

One plus point is wear an tear on your vehicle is less that that encountered on a track day, as after each run your brakes and tyres get to cool off! Also less chance of coming together with anything but the scenery, as cars are released at intervals, so worrying about any nutters in caterfields coming past you sideways on the way into a corner doesn't figure when sprinting ;)

There is also a pre-season shakedown meet with possible tuition if enough interest, at Barkston Heath, on 30th march.

Round 1, 27th April 2014 Blyton

Round 2, 15th June Woodbridge

Round 3, 20th July Blyton (different Layout)

Round 4, 16th August Snetterton 100

Round 5, 14th September Croft

Round 6, 25th Oct Barkston Heath

If anyone has any questions, i'll only be happy to help / point in the right direction for info. For those wanting a read up:

It would be great to see some more supras out there! You don't have to enter the championship by the way, one off events are fine. Also they run a "class x" for any cars, we believe as this section was so popular in 2013 they are going to split it into classes for 2014- so if any supra owners have a non supra track weapon, those vehicles are more than welcome too.

Also another thing to note, a stock car is fine- off the top of my head all you need to do is mark up your towing eyes and yellow tape your battery earth cable, and that's about it! As long as the car has MOT (street class only) and the basics work, you can come and have fun in any vehicle.

Hope to see a few of you out there!

All the best

Dan. :)
