Wheel refurb options

I am debating if I like the wolfrace sharks that are currently on my car or the old mania vortex r's that were on there previously, I was tempted to refurb one set at some point and possibly keep the others as a winter set to keep them in better condition.

There is a place down the road that I have spoken too that quoted me around £350, looking at their websites these are the standard finishes so any idea's/opinions would be great. I cant be arse to buy another set of wheels though.

Here is the finished options http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/wheel-finishes/standard/

£350 to do what ? powder coat the whole wheel or powder coat centers with polished lip ?

Either sounds expensive to me

I was meant to put £300, iirc it was to powder coat the whole wheel (it was ages ago I spoke to them) I was more just trying to get ideas over how to get them finished or what ones to get done. They are split rims though and lepsons are about the same price, this company if just more conveniently placed and it saves me the ball ache of sending off the wheels as I could drop off the car and pick them up possibly at the end of the day.

Wolfrace Sharks are not split rims they are cast imitations with a stick on shiny lip I have no idea on your other set however as a guide a good wheel specialist should be charging around £150 to powder coat your wheels and center caps assuming there is no serious damage and you have the tyres removed yourself :)

These are what I have/had which I think look better.

I was under the impression having a polished lip made it a nightmare for having lacquer as it never really bonds/lasts. One of these wheels has a slight ding in it which would need removing and is an 18inch wheel.

It would also be the only set I could send as they are not on the car.

Edit, the above pictures are now changing my thoughts......

The next question would be how much and where then :D

the bolts are just part of the aluminium wheel and will not be damaged by dipping etc I paid £150 a set for my mr2 and supra wheels to be dipped and powder coated at stella blast up here but you should be able to find a local company that can do yours

:yeahthat:

Get Ibrar to do them mate, his prices are really rather good for the work he does :)

It's just the sending a receiving things that is the problem with work, as I am not in any set location and it can change daily I can't really take a day off to wait for a delivery or a courier to collect hence why me dropping them off and collecting is preferred.

Ah yes I know your problem, Well I worked out its £132 to send my wheels to ibrar and sent back, so I will probably end up driving up there with them with a mate as will be cheaper.
