Alloy Wheels Refurb Question..

Hi all,

Have some BBS Split rims on my supra and although the centre of the alloys are fine the 'dish' parts have pitted and look rather sad. So I was wondering would it be better to just get the alloys powder coated or would it be better to split them apart and get just the dish polished up?

Anyone know any companies around the Bradford / Leeds area who can do this.

Cheers

Hi,

That was one of my concerns as I dont know what the torque settings are nor do I have the tools to carry out such work. Ideally if someone knows anyone local who could undertake the work then that would be worth while doing for me even thought the powder coating is easier / cheaper and less hassle. Also they are 2 piece.

Cheers

I know of a wheel refurbisher in Bradford (cas coatings) but can't say if they are knowledgeable regarding 2/3 piece wheels. http://www.cascoatings.com/

Give them a google. Best bet would be to send them to the resident forum wheel guys, Ibrar@Speedwells. They will do you proud.

I'm planning a trip down to speedwells myself maybe next month or so to drop off some wheels. :)
