I went and spoke to Jurgen at JM-Imports about importing a Facelift Supra basic criteria being it had to be an Immaculate Stockish Black/White Twin Turbo VVTI Tiptronic as Auto is king where I live given all the traffic etc anyway 6 months of searching here we are. Full machine Polish and valet New Locking Wheel Nuts When Jurgen had finished Fitting all the parts etc a few weeks later I picked the car up and took it home.... MattP Posted December 20, 2013 Author Share Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) About a month after getting the car I had my old Supra wheels Dipped and Powdercoated in a Pearl Silver and a new set of tyres fitted. I have since sold the Black Enkei 18s and fitted these Azev 17s with stock Uk spec size tyres as they fill out the arches nicely at front 8.5j near stock offset and rear 10j near stock offset. MattP Posted December 20, 2013 Author Share Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) Cracked on with the car last night and got all the Focal speakers and SRD Brackets fitted..... Focal PC165 The Passenger door Card removed showing that my original 1998 Toyota Speakers have died and outer cone has fell to bits. Passenger Side Speaker box removed Now the Speaker Box is out you can see how dead the speaker actually was anyway I needed to remove the stock speaker from its box to remove the wiring connector I planned on reusing... Now that I have everything I need I can mount the new Speaker in the SRD brackets and attach my wiring connector... Next step is to mount the Assembly back onto the door with the 3 supplied SRD Screws The Tweeter on these speakers are adjustable so you can align the sound to ear level so adjust away And connect up the speaker connection Finally reassemble your door card however there is one additional task I found... There is a hole in the standard Toyota speaker box which holds a clip on the door card with the Standard speaker box removed you must attach the clip with an adhesive to keep it in. MattP Posted December 20, 2013 Author Share Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) And onto the Rear Install Remove the stock grill to reveal yet again dead stock speakers falling apart... Now to remove the stock speakers I had to remove the stock 4 philips screws and get a flat head screwdriver with a hammer and tap the edge around as the speakers are glued into the bracket to create a seal. Also the stock speakers on the rear were Soldered to the speaker connections so I cut and stripped some wire to solder onto my new speakers The finished install I had to drill the stock metal plate to fit the speaker right and fit the foamy seal focal provided to give a good seal Now all that was left to do was fine tune the sound for what I thought sounded good I have to say the difference in clarity is massive and worth the price tag... Black on black was nice and Its the colour I will be getting on my new set of 18s but the Enkei wheels were a pain to clean and its hard to convey in pictures but the 17s I have on now are much fatter and make the car look better in person, The Enkei were just too narrow Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First off check contents Then I had to remove the two inner wing 10mm Bolts and clean/grease up the threads plenty of grease to be generous on application after that its time to grease the threads on the little dampener joints and screw them into the inner wing bolt hole with the correct sized washer... almost done now I had to remove one of the bonnet 12mm bolt that goes through the bonnet hinge and re attach as shown again with plenty of grease to prevent rust. and lastly I greased up the 4 dampener swivel attachments screwed them onto the dampener body, they then click onto the mounting brackets and are secured by the Locking pin which slides through the swivel body. I have removed the old boot rubbers using nothing more than a hair dryer and a cross head screwdriver they came straight out thankfully and I have fitted my new Toyota parts Paul supply's the new boot rubbers with hex head screws so they can be extracted easily in the future with a ratchet better than the S*** screws Toyota originally put in. I have also just finished removing all the bits for powder coating IE: Throttle body upper and lower runners cam covers All sequential turbo pipes Heat shield (high temp paint) All HKS induction piping Strut Brace Power steering reservoir - - - Updated - - - Matt, I will look you out the receipt I have for the VVTi Airbox Ahhhhhh good man...
