Hi guys,

so I've been helping my mate Dan to put a turbo on his Supra NA, and here's the story :)

First of all, english is my second language, so thats why the spelling, grammar and sometimes words is just wierd and wrong :D

Me and Dan works at the same place since 7 years back and I've allways been into JDM sports cars, so he asked me to source a Supra for him. It was time to make the dream come true. :)

This is how the car looked like when we bought it in Manchster in Mars 2012.

The ad was found on this forum btw.. :)

We got swedish plates on it and Dan was happily driving it as his daily for the summer season 2012.

But time after time he got outrunned by bmw's and so on and the need for more power was a fact.

He asked me what to do, and I said, lets put a turbo on it.

In mars 2013 we went to the winter storage to get the supra and bring it to the garage and start the project

Removed the bonnet, headlights, and started to remove some pipes and hoses..

We also modified the head lights from rhd-trafic to lhd-trafic.

And when they where in pieces we took the opportunity to paint the chrome into matte black instead :)

The new exhaust manifold arrived! Bought from aliexpress. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/SUPRA-MK4-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-TURBO-2JZGE-LEXUS-TWIN-T4-IS300-SC300/737979259.html

Gonna be a little modified

image

Welded some extra steel mounts between the flanges, to hopefully prevent the piping from cracking.. (well it is a china quality manifold :D)

image

Extra steel mounts welded

image

image

The flange for the wastegate was some square type, and our wastegate was v-band so removed the square flange and welded on a v-band instead

image

Then we left the manifold to a mechanical shop to get the flanges machined/flated (dont know the english word)

This downpipe has only one flange for the o2 sensor, and we will fit another flange to use both sensors.

btw all pictures is our own taken pictures, no product pics from the internetz.. ;)

Have to put in an older pic.. just after we bought the car in the UK..

Dan is happy.. :D In Dover, waiting for the ferry to france..

Kul att se fler svenskar här inne ;)

Anyhow we better keep it to English to keep the guys in here from having to use google translate all the time :D

Any power figures Dan (or you) are aiming at, what kind of single turbo, body mods and so on? :)

Tjo, sedär ja, ja det finns några stycken har jag sett :)

Info om turbo osv kommer strax..!

Very nice build so far. Nice to see it was a forum car in the first place.

I am guessing its just a low boost NA-T at the minute?

Thanks, we're going for about 0,7 bar boost at the top.

We want to see that it's all working properly before we take the next step :) (more fuel and headgasket)

I'm making ic mounts :)

Bend to 80°

image

Painted

image

image

Mounted in the alu front bar

image

image

image

Removed tow hook and some plastic panels to make room for the intercooler piping

image

image

I also made mounts for the intercooler underneath

Off coarse all bolt and blind rivets are stainless steel :)

image

I think you can tow the car in this intercooler now..

I mounted the intercooler as tight possible to avoid being needed to modify the front spoiler
