Rear Wheel Bearing Drivers side

Hey

just in from the MOT , they said to keep an eye on the rear wheel bearing but replace it if I can, small bit of play

• Do you need an Alignment if you change the bearing?
  
• Automotive bearings or OEM Toyota?
  
• Do you need to replace the rear axel shaft too?(drive flanges)
  
• Good practice to do both sides at the same time?

Can be a nightmare and you will need an alignment doing.

whats hard about them dude?

they look just like a normal press on type like most toyotas? or you mean can be a nightmare for someone without a press

nightmare being that the bolts are normally seized

Can be awkward to hold in the press, as been said the bolts you need to undo can be seized and ive had them in a 20 ton press and still not come out. If its drivers rear and you find you need a top wishbone I have a brand new one half price !!!!!

Nah, just the bearing mate.

As for spurious or OEM the best thing to do is get an idea of price on both.

Toyota Part No. for bearing 90369-43005 (that is bearing only, can't find a kit number, you can ask I suppose & see what is offered)

Blueprint Bearing Kit - ADT38315 - appears to be everything you'd need to do the job.

Personally I've never had any issues with Blueprint parts and I'd prefer them to most other non-genuine offerings.

Ive got an OEM 43008 here

I'm looking to do the same as I've just changed over both the front wheel bearings. That was a pain even with a 10 ton press. I thought the rears could be more difficult. Let us know how it goes!
