Its getting to that time of year when we start working on the cars ready for 2014!

Have people got any ideas/plans they want to do to there cars?

Me and dad have a few plans :eyebrows:

You can't start a thread and not say what your doing :p :p

I'll be changing all the blue hoses in the engine bay to black and then get a carbon spark plug cover

Get the drivers wing sorted (lacquer peel about the size of a 5p)

Get side skirts re sprayed

Get the boot re-done again and the holes welded proper this time

I am hoping to:

Finish fitting most of the parts I've collected (veilside ti, bucket seats, polished upper water pipe and a couple gauges, apr carbon intercooler plate, 550 injectors, MVP front lip)

Push the twins harder with a boost raise, a dual intake kit, a ported y pipe

Maybe some 3" decats, and probably a fuel controller/ecu

Cry when the W58 explodes

Find a way to repair/replace my Volk GT-C

If I can, get some coilovers too!

That should do it for this year!

Not too much really.

Refurb Volk GTC's (off to Ibrar this week)

Fit new gearbox and another cooler with fan

KW coilovers

Maybe buy the rest of the single kit (turbo + ecu)

Just fit the single turbo kit! Your car is begging for it :)

My E39 comes with a Webasto diesel heater from the factory, that with a little ingenuity can be made into a remote control cabin warmer without starting the engine. So you get into the car, the coolant is up to temperature and the cabin is nice and warm. :)

The remote kit from Webasto is £300, I plan on doing it for under £20 using Ebay and Maplins :)

Just a few little bits I think for this winter:

  • Fit MintSpeed titanium strut brace (like a TRD but all titanium)
  • Buy and fit Whifbitz carbon scuttle panel
  • Buy and fit an AEM AFR gauge in place of my surplus Blitz boost gauge (60mm, fan location)
  • Maybe get both my Recaro SPG driver seat and Recaro SRD Confetti passenger seat retrimmed
  • Buy some wheels to sit it on so that I can spend too much time cleaning and polishing the CCWs
  • Stubby aerial conversion (most likely, or just disable the motor on the stock one)

I think that is probably it for this time.

I'd look into cams, Syvecs, billet upgrade for the T88/a new twin scroll billet turbo etc. etc. but I need to start saving for a house. :)
