Getting that breaking feeling again

I think its going to be very soon when i decide what to do with the gold rush supra. I have pretty much done as much as i can with the car and it still makes me smile when i drive it but i am slowly losing the love. It has cleaned up at most shows over the last 4 years and also had 2 mag features ( 1 front cover) many people know of the car now. Just not been enjoying the shows much no more but still love driving the car and the buzz is great.

Just not sure what to do. I think it will definately get broken, unless i get a decent offer to buy. There is a small fortune in parts so either way ill have a nice sum of money to move onto something else.

Its a hard one to decide as the weather is great at the moment and driving is fun. Might be something to consider over the winter

Do it.

I've not regretted breaking mine for a second.

It would make nice money in parts i think, just not sure lol need to sleep on it again

You will get better money this time of year I'm betting, stick up a for sale thread for a few weeks before you break it mate, you never know, might sell.

Yeah i know mate. I doubt it would sell for the money i would want but you never know.

Shame really but if you feel like this now I doubt it will go away, have you not tried to enjoy the shows ect without taking part in an anal cleaning sessions so you can go out and enjoy it as Joe public so it is not so much of a chore?

Would I be wrong in guessing the GTR bug has got you too?

Gtr is all talk and i doubt i would get one. I enjoy cleaning the car mate and socialising with people who are around the car and other show car owners in the shows. I just feel i have no more to do. My brain is bit scrambled and today is the first day i have "really" thought about. The ideal situation would be to sell the car as a whole but the offer would have to be good and we all know things aint selling but i would never sell it cheap, when i can break for alot. Very mixed emoticions really! i have owned it and built it from scratch and i aint seen another like it but its still not everyones cup of tea.... needs to go to Dubai lol

It would be a travesty to break it considering the level of detail that has gone into building it but it just seems to be the way things are now, maybe Littler is right and sending Jurgen some details ect may allow for it to be sold albeit not in this country at a guess.

Advertise it over there, speak to Ryan now he has contacts? And Jurgen about getting it over? :)

Lol. Not a bad idea. Im definately going to have a few days to think, prob do a decent advert and then hit the post button if i decide to go ahead with it.

Those guys are GT-R mental, 600bhp Supra's won't butter many parsnips out there I don't think.

You do whatever makes you the money. I doubt anyone will look after it more than i have and that in itself will break my heart if i see around at a show.

If i was to break i would need to get deposits on the big parts to ensure i start to break. Wheels, brakes, turbo kit ect

You could always do what the turtleshead did and put up a list of parts and get names and reserves for parts with nothing set in stone just to see what you could shift/recoup.

That won't work I don't think because people will drop out because their best mates sisters daughters goldfish requires a heart transplant and the funds won't stretch.

Then i get flooded with pm's mate. Im going to have a decent chat with my family as they know what the car means to me and could talk sense into me.
