Right got a mate who works on a tyre place, he can get me avon zz3's for £100 each or bridgestones for £125 each. I've read reviews on both and the Avons have a better review, anyone got any experience of them? Thanks.

What size tyres are you looking at and be aware of the different ratings

A 245 45 18 size for example has 3 different types of RE050A's with varying fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise ratings

96w DZ TL -- Fuel EFF F Wet GRIP C

96w EZ TL -- Fuel EFF F Wet GRIP B

96w TL -- Fuel EFF E Wet GRIP E

The zz3's have only 1 type with Fuel EFF F and Wet GRIP B

If you look on http://www.camskill.co.uk you will get all this info

Mine are 265 35 18. Oh that's a bit complicated, I'd have to ask him for more details on them.

For tyres that size I'd sack of the RE050's and go for S02's. They are a much better tyre.

The RE050's are ok, bit I found you would get 8 months or so of excellent grip then nothing at all, almost overnight.

Thanks :)

I rarely go out in the wet anyway and I've always got my little boy in the car, so rarely get to have any fun, so either of these two would be good enough for what I need. Thank for all your help :)

Glad to try to help, hope your having a nice birthday :)
