I just make sure the car's high enough so that the back of the box clears the floor, hook it up so that the majority of the lift is at the front of the engine, drop the jack that supporting the box and lift away mate

with the rear up the angle is less extreme that you need to get the engine/trans at, you also need a crane with pretty long reach. As long as you have everything undone theres prob not too much reason to have the front up as well, we always do it on a ramp but thats a luxury.

There is also vac lines that are partially attached to the bulkhead and the water feed that goes to the heater matrix.

yeah bud done :) i forgot to mention. also removed the little earth on the back and the connecter that goes down by the left of the subframe

the autoshifter is whats giving me a head ache lol

seems the top is hard to get to, everything is attached i cant get it all off without removing the shifter nob but i cant see how to disconnect the wire

and even then its a maze or crap under it

from the looks of things i dont have to mess with the top part, i can just disconnect the shifter from under the car

can anyone confirm this?

DOH! Too late.

Yes, just pull out the P clip from the pin on the shifter linkage. No need to undo the nut otherwise the linkage will need adjusting.
