Currently doing an na-t build and im about to remove the head

everything is stripped out the way and ive arrived at the head bolt removal and it looks like the cams need to be removed in order to get at the head bolts?

The inlet cam has points that stick out and these are covering 3 of the head bolts, my mate tells me if we turn the cam so these are in a different position we will get to the head bolts but it doesnt seem right to me

Can someone confirm if its possible with the cams in or do they need to be out?

Cheers

Yep i saw the manual but i read an argument on the matter and some people claimed they could leave cams in so just wanted to know if it were possible

Ill just take the cams out then :)

Yeah its much easier to just take them out dude, just remember to undo the bolts in the right order so you don't bend the camshaft
